We offer a range of volunteer opportunities in areas of focus we call Community Service Programs (CSPs.) In one or more of these areas focusing on community needs, you will find a place to use your unique talents.
Arts & Culture
We promote the arts in our community with youth and member art contests, member craft days and volunteer opportunities at local art and cultural events.
We believe cultural awareness profoundly increases the ability to appreciate and enjoy a variety of new people and experiences and look for ways to celebrate our local and America’s cultural diversity.
Civic Engagement
We foster civic involvement and the importance of voting. The GFWC Legislative Action Center provides information about non-partisan legislative and safety issues impacting women and children, as well as tools to easily communicate with our State elected officials. We advocate for public safety and crime prevention in the home and community. We support our active and veteran military.
Education & Libraries
We promote education in both children and adults. We aim to help others learn, while we also continue to learn ourselves. We foster schools and promote literacy, libraries and the love of a good book.
Environment
We encourage our clubwomen and our family and friends to become stewards of the earth by working to preserve the world’s resources protect wildlife and domestic animals, live sustainably, beautify our communities and enjoy nature.
